September 26, 2012: As
part of its flood relief efforts, Coca-Cola Pakistan collaborated
with Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to provide immediate flood
relief goods to flood affectees of Punjab. The company provided ration packages
for 2,500 people; mineral water for 15,000 people; and Minute Maid high
nutrition juices for 12,000 people. The ration packages constituted cooked and
dry food items, rice, lentils and oil.
While sharing his
views on the occasion, Rizwan U. Khan, General Manager, Pakistan
& Afghanistan, The Coca-Cola Export Corporation (TCCEC) said, “During this time of emergency and extreme
hardship, we feel that there should be no limit to the support we offer to
those suffering. Coca-Cola Pakistan’s
response to these disasters is a token of our dedication to communities not
only as a business, but as citizens committed to helping the communities we
serve.”
Being an
