ISLAMABAD: Daily ARY, a subsidiary of ARY Digital Network, is planning to launch its Urdu newspaper on August 14 simultaneously from three centers.

JournalismPakistan.com has been told the printing presses in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad are now in place and other arrangements have also been finalized.

Rana Tahir, formerly of Jang is the paper’s Executive Editor and Director National Affairs while Mahmood Sham, who was also previously with Jang, is the Editor-in-Chief.


The management had earlier planned to bring out the paper in January this year.


ARY Digital Network is a subsidiary of the ARY Group. The ARY Group of companies is a Dubai-based holding company founded by Pakistani businessman, Haji Abdul Razzak Yaqoob (ARY).

  1. There is much to be said in favour of modern journalism. it keeps us in touch with the ignorance of the community. I still believe that if your aim is to change the world, journalism is a more immediate short-term weapon. So we also want change.
