ZONG employees spend a day with mentally challenged children

Islamabad, February 21, 2013: ZONG’s employees under company’s Corporate Volunteerism Programme recently visited Chambeli Institute of Mentally Challenged Children and Physiotherapy Center located in Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. The Institute has around 50 mentally challenged children enrolled in it and has a staff of 20 people to manage and help with these children.

It was a full day event which comprised of many fun filled activities like face painting, musical chairs, tableau by children, 3-legged race, spoon & ball race and dancing competition. Children participated with great enthusiasm while volunteers from ZONG compassionately arranged all these activities with help of the institute’s staff.

Children also watched a cartoon movie on the multimedia and later on excitedly received gifts, food items and goodie bags which were being distributed by ZONG employees. Each child was presented stationery items, coloring box set, glitter pens and coloring books along with scrumptious delights to make this day a memorable one for them.

By organizing such activities ZONG is not only integrating CSR best practices by promoting community service among its employees but is also mentoring them to become better future leaders. Their first hand exposure to the opportunities, challenges and conditions of community members will inform their actions as they move to become mentors and decision makers. The basic philosophy behind this activity is to encourage and support ZONG family members to perform community services, generating benefits for themselves, the Company and the community.

 زونگ کے ملازمین نے ذہنی طور پر معذوربچوں کے ساتھ ایک دن گزارا

اسلام آباد ، 21 فروری 2013:  زونگ کے ملازمین کارپوریٹ والینٹئرزم پروگرام کے تحت حال ہی میں ذہنی طور پر معزرو بچوں کے ادارے چمبیلی انسٹیٹیوٹ اسلام آباد  اورسیٹیلائیٹ ٹائون  راولپنڈی میں واقع طبعی طبی مرکز گئے۔ ادارے میں تقریباً 50 ذہنی طور پر معذور بچے داخل ہیں اور اس کے اسٹاف کی تعداد 20 افراد پر مشتمل ہے جو ادارے کی دیکھ بھال کرتے اور بچوں کی مدد کرتے ہیں۔

ایک روزہ ایونٹ میں بچوں کی دلچسپی کے مختلف سرگرمیاں جیسے فیس پینٹنگ، میوزیکل چیئرز، بچوں کی جانب سے ٹیبلو، تین ٹانگوں سے دوڑ، سپون اور بال ریس اور ڈانسنگ کے مقابلے شامل تھے۔ اس تقریب میں بچوں نے گرمجوشی سے حصہ لیا جبکہ زونگ کے رضاکاروں نے  ادارے کے اسٹاف کے ساتھ ملکر ان کے لئےان سرگرمیاں کاشفقت سے انتظام کیا ۔

اس موقع پر بچوں نے ملٹی میڈیا پر ایک کارٹون فلم  بھی دیکھی اور بعد ازاں خوشی سے تخائف ، غذائی اشیاء اور گڈی بیگس حاصل کئے، جن کا انتظام زونگ کے ملازمین نے کیا تھا۔ اس کے علاوہ ہر بچے کو اسٹیشنری آئٹمز، کلرنگ بکس کے سیٹس، گلیٹر پینز اور کلرنگ بکس دیا گیا اپنے اس دن کو یادگار بنانے کے لئے بچوں نے خوشیاںسمیٹیں۔

ایسی سرگرمیوں کا انعقاد کرکے سی ایس آر کی بہترین مشقوں کو بروئے کارلاتے ہوئے  زونگ نہ صرف اپنے ملازمین کے اندر کمیونیٹی سروس کو فروع دے رہا ہے بلکہ مستقبل کے لئے ان کی لیڈر شپ قابلیت کی بھی  مانیٹرنگ کررہا ہے۔کمیونیٹی کے ارکان کے ان مواقع، مقابلوں اور حالات کا سامنا، ان کو رہنما اور فیصلہ ساز بناکر منتقل کریں گے ۔اس سرگرمی کے پیچھے بنیادی فلسفہ  سماجی خدمات کے لئے ، ان کے اپنے ،کمپنی  اور معاشرے کے لئے فوائد پیداکرنا ہے ۔
