Lahore, May 23, 2012: Tetra Pak, the world leader
in food processing and packaging solutions, inaugurated its Milk Hygiene and
Quality Assurance training programme in collaboration with Solve Agri &
Dairy Institute (SADI). The seven day training programme is targeted towards
employees of major Pakistani dairy processors and will facilitate dairy sector
professionals in procuring, handling, storing and transporting high quality
milk in a hygienic manner.
The core objective of the
training programme is to ensure that dairy professionals are fully equipped
with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to facilitate high quality
milk production. By enhancing the quality of milk
being gathered at collection
centres, it is guaranteed that milk reaching end consumers will be hygienic,
safe and of the utmost quality.
Speaking of the programme,
Kashif Bhatti, Marketing Director Tetra Pak Pakistan said, “As a responsible

Speaking on occasion,
Haroon Lodhi, CEO Solve Agri Pak Private Limited said “Through the training
programme we seek to identify areas of improvement in current milk collection
practices and provide the necessary impetus to enhance the processing,
distribution, collection and production of high quality milk. Programme
trainees will gain hands-on experience by visiting corporate farms, milk
collection centres, testing laboratories, among other facilities during the
course. This will contribute towards enhancing their knowledgebase and
ultimately, the productivity of milk collection centres where they are employed.”
The intensive week long
training course will focus on diverse subjects such as milk
collection & agri-services setup, importance of hygiene and quality, financial
impact of low quality milk, equipment
maintenance SOPs, adulteration and its counter-check, maintaining quality
during transportation, Impact of quality on end products, achieving low TPC and
food safety through HACCP among others.
