This is stated by Amer Pasha, Country Manager Visa Inc in an interview with Telecom Recorder.
Visa is presently working on different framework to attract big opportunities in mobile payments system in Pakistan because it has already a sophisticated established system of networking throughout the country, he said.
Pasha said the third party payment system is considered as reliable, speedy and ready-to-operate in near future and Visa Inc is a potential company to play the role between banks and mobile operator because of its sound system, which
is still at advanced stage and ready as plug-and-play for real mobile banking system in the country.The awareness of mobile-banking has reached outstanding stage as banks and cellular operators have launched money transfer, utility payment services quite significantly. The banking will enter into advance model in couple of years when actual services of mobile banking will be launched by banks and cellular operators in collaboration with third payment solution providers.
Currently, the mobile-banking is at the right stages with banks and cellular operators are engaged in testing different secure systems with the help of IT solution providers.

The companies are bringing an innovative chip solution to market that will allowApple iPhone users to make Visa payments by simply waving their iPhone in front of a contactless payment terminal. The new technology, developed by DeviceFidelity and certified by Apple, combines a protective iPhone case with a secure chip that hosts Visa’s contactless payment application, called Visa payWave. The technology will work for both iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G devices.

Pasha mentioned that Visa has been connected with 24 banks of the country with strong partnership and reliable payment solution to their customers against different services. It has more than 7.4 million ATM/Credit card holders and millions of internet banking users along with thousands of clients in retail business in services and manufacturing sectors.
